Nambé for BridesIt sounds obvious, doesn’t it? But when you’ve spread out the wedding magazines and have your wedding binder in your lap, it’s easy to see the registry checklists as finite. It’s important to remember that registry guides (ours included) cover the most common needs. Use them as a springboard in determining the items you need in your home.

Do you have a large family? You’ll need more place settings than the standard 12.

Hate to cook? Skip the pots and pans and focus on filling out the bar with martini shakers and wine glasses.

That said, do be mindful that your needs may change over time. Maybe you don’t host guests often now because you live in a small apartment, but you may move into a larger home in a few years. Then you’ll be happy you included a large serving tray or two on the wedding registry.
