We’re midway through October and well into the fall season. For us, that means a subtle change in décor to bring those autumn tones front and center. And with a few quick swaps, you can keep some of your favorite pieces and just change up the accessories to include some foliage and natural elements.
One of the easiest ways to update your home with the seasons is to switch out your accent pillows or throw blanket to change with the season. Adventures in Decorating gives a look at her ideas for a living room update.
Candles are another great addition when thinking about how to spruce up your fall decor. They add a warmth and ambiance to a room that makes us immediately want to cozy up next to the fire. And we love this tip from Better Homes and Gardens Decorating Editor Kaelin Zawilinski:
Find woodsy elements at your local farmers’ market or your own backyard. Look for moss, grasses, and small branches. Fill interesting pots with any combination of them, or turn a bundle of twigs into a natural photo holder.
Advice taken! We turned to one of our favorite bowls, the Tri-Corner (such a versatile -and stylish- piece!), and packed it full of some festive items, like dried leaves, large rocks and straw balls.
